In Texas Holdem you are dealt two cards face down. Only you can look at them. After a round of checking, betting, raising and folding 3 cards are dealt on the table, face up. These are community cards and any player can use them. The three cards dealt are called Flop. After that in the next round another card is put on the table (the turn card) and then another one in the following round (the river card). You have to make the best possible hand you can while using any number of cards from your pocket cards and the rest from the community cards.

Omaha Hi Lo is basically a variation of Omaha Lo. You are dealt 4 cards and the flop, turn and river are similar to Texas Holdem. The main difference stands in the fact that you are obliged to use 2 cards from the four you received. You cannot use just one or more than two. The best hand is the hand that wins the High Pot. There is also the possibility of a low pot existing. A lot pot is defined as any 5 cards, different from one another, ranging from A to 8. The value count for the LO hand stands with the highest card that you have. To put it simple, if your highest card is 8 then that hand is going to lose against a high card of 7. The best Lo hand you can have is A, 2, 3, 4, 5. The colors of the cards are not important in the Lo Hand. The Lo Pot is half of the entire pot. Two different players can win in an Omaha Hi Lo game and they will split the pot with the Best poker hand winning the High Pot and the Lo Pot being won by the lowest succession of cards. If the highest card in the Lo hand is equal for the players the next card in line will make the difference. For instance, a hand of A, 3, 4, 5, 7 will be lower than a hand that is A, 2, 3, 6, 7.
